Andesite

Borobudur temple Location: Yogyokarta, Java, Indonesia
Andesite was used in the ancient architecture of Indonesia called candi. These are Hindu or Buddhist temples built between the 7th and 15th centuries when kingdoms in now Indonesia were indianized. This stone was predominant in the Central Java and were earlier used. Eastern Java later began to use red brick. Owing to Andesite's durability against tropical weathers and torrential rains, candi of this material are the most well-preserved.

Andesite is the foundation of Level Land, entering the industry with our Andesite Quarries. Our local varieties include Araal, Sahara Brown, and Piedra de Ojas, meaning rock of happiness.
